What is your menu for Christmas? Please post here :)
« on: December 23, 2014, 08:35:28 AM »
Hi all, Merry Christmas! I was going to make a Paella for Christmas but Mom has trumped the plan  ::)  This years menu for us is a very simple one. Eating over at Mom's house this year and at 85 she chooses the eats! We'll bring appetizers and a nice low carb dessert.

Mom's Low Carb Menu

Baked Ham
Roasted Asparagus
Green Beans
Caulimash

Still working on the apps, and dessert ideas  8)

I think either walnut puffs or walnut bread for dessert :)

Merry Christmas! :) :) :)

Mine plan is much like yours, Doug.
Except in place of asparagus, having a nice salad.

And for desert, Pumpkin Pudding and your Eggnog recipe. ;D

Daughter has requested a roast leg of lamb - with rosemary and garlic, also available some deli turkey slices and ham. Roast pumpkin, zucchini, broccoli, red capscicum (some potato for those that insist) as vegies.  Gravy made with cream. Fresh cherries, raspberries  and whipped cream (pavlova  and  traditional pudding on request).

Hope everyone has a great day :D

Yummy Morgan! I love Lamb, one of my favorites! I always make a nice stew the next day :)  I'd love to see your FTS friendly pavlova recipe, beautiful light dessert!
