Hi, Shawn! :)

Fall and Winter weather causes my joints to "complain" more than usual, too.
So I "feel" your pain, my dear! :'(

But, I found a winning combination that really makes most the pain go away.
It also makes my joints much more flexible.

I take a supplement with Glucosamine (1500mg), Chondroitin (1200mg), and MSM (500mg), each day.
And, I rub MSM cream with Emu oil into the most painful joints first thing each morning.
I've been doing this the last couple of weeks, and feel great! ;D

Give it a try!
Let me know if it helps you, too! :)

Tony

Day 9
Coffee x2
I had lunch with my lovely daughter for her birthday at an awesome Asian restaurant called M Vista
I ordered  from the wok section
Steamed Chicken or Shrimp
With seven fresh vegetables (zucchini, squash, asparagus, broccoli, snow peas, mushrooms & carrots), choice of sauce on side
I told them hold the rice and the carrots and had them bring me the garlic sauce on the side but could tell it was thickened….probably with corn starch.   :P  Next time I will ask what they use.  Soy sauce did fine though.  It was mostly broccoli, squash and mushrooms with a few of the other mixed in.  They don’t list any nutritional information on their web site so I’m going with 6 net carbs for the meal.  See how easy it is to eat out??  This was delicious.  There was quite a bit of other things I could have ordered….I will be back
1 oz. almonds = 2 net carbs
3 oz. tilapia with garlic butter = .5 net carbs
1 cup steamed broccoli with parmesan cheese = 4 net carbs

Day 10
Coffee x 3
BLT pita without the T = 2.5 net carbs
Almond milk = 0 net carbs
Out with the girls to Long Horn Steak house (I really hate how they don’t have the fiber count on their nutritional information.  So I’m doing some guessing here.  :D  Also what is this foolishness about the chopped steak having 45 carbs!!  :o :o :o  I would never have guessed that!! Always check the resturantes web site for nutrition labels if they have them and you can before you go....otherwise ask.  This really surprised me...I wonder what they put in that hamburger steak?? ) http://www.longhornsteakhouse.com/pdf/2010LongHornSteakHouseNutrition.pdf
6 oz. sirloin = 0 net carbs
Salad…hold the croutons and onions and Blue cheese dressing = 5 net carbs
Seasonal mixed veggies of which I only ate half = 4 net carbs

Day 11
Coffee x 2
Another bacon and lettuce pita= 2.5 net carbs  I never get tired of bacon  ;D ;D
Peperoni with cheese slices= 0 net carbs
Almond milk= 0 net carbs
2 cups angel hair cabbage sauteed in coconut oil = 3 net carbs
½ cup low sugar spaghetti sauce with hamburger = 4 net carbs

Thank you thank you  :D :D :D   Soooo many decisions...Haha  I've been dreaming of all of them I'm afraid.  I don't think I will ever be totally free of that sweet tooth.  HA!  Nothing wrong with having one, I do feel more in control of it though.  I have a nice bowl of strawberries waiting for me  ;D  I think I might just stick with the natural stuff for now.   ::)

I had strawberries today also, yum! ;D  I'm scared to buy almonds, I can't eat just a few.  I'm trying to tame my sweet tooth as well.  But I'm not going cold turkey, just aiming to limit the sweets, because even sugar free treats add up with the carbs, as you already know.  :) :) :)
Wishing you love, joy, peace, light, and laughter for every moment in your life;)

Funny, I go overboard on nuts myself and gain weight every time.  When I have to do lots & lots of walking I don't gain thank goodness. I really don't exercise so that's my new goal.

Noel, have you tried the prepackaged 100 calorie almond packs? They come in little packets and they have cinnamon roasted, vanilla roasted, and chocolate roasted and they are only 2 net carbs a pack and it helps control the grazing :)
May you be blessed in all your endeavors, but most importantly, may you be humble. God keep you.
