I was just talking to my cousin Steve, he's lost 80 pounds in the past 6 months!  GOOOO Steve :) anyway he was grilling jicama. I've never tried it but he tells me it's delicious. Simply brush with olive oil, spice it up to your taste and grill away. I'll try it this next week and report back.  ::)

Hmmm, the last time I used the outdoor grill I burn off my eyebrows....isnt there any other way to 'grill' things? A safer way perhaps....

ok...the kids and i fried up some jicama! we dipped in reduced sugar ketchup...1g carb per Tbsp.
First time I ever tried 'em...we have just begun and we love it ...no more fast food fries!!
so this is great. and along with the french fried jicama, we had cheeseburger and a pickle slice on lo carb tortilla...3g net carb per tortilla.
and a can of orange diet rite.... wonderful~  :D

Oh, you go, girl! That sounds like a great meal! I love to get my kids involved in our cooking, too. My 14 year old loves to bake and he's good at it. I hope to train him well so he will take it over one day! : )

you go too ...lol.....nice to meet you owensmath~
yes, that is what it is all about! family sharing the love, laughter and life all together in one common bond! bless you! those smiling moments of family time shared, are kept in the heart forever and makes living worth it all~
I spent most of my younger days in chef work, mostly catering weddings and such...never was much of a baker even though my mother was, i didn't care for it, but I did care for the end results which were some pretty wonderful cake, cookies and hot fruit pies back in the day.....all I see is yummy fat stuff when i think of baking...... curious to know what you bake in your new eating without sugar?
