« on: June 13, 2010, 02:58:21 PM »
i'm taking medication that causes high prolactin in me...therefore no periods...the psychiatrist suggests i should halve dosage...but that would bring back symptoms of illness as i have been on lower dose already...i said no thanks..the g.p. and psychiatrist are now going to have a little chat to discuss the matter :(...xx

it's not really the more kid's issue..it's about feeling like a normal person...if it makes me ill ..i don't want to be having period's...but if i get another illness because of high prolactin...like they were saying...anyway i'm 45...not long to go till they're a gonna anyway...xx

;D i just googled it..its not available here...anyway the meds i'm taking at the moment gets rid of the voices and stuff...its the best i've been prescribed over the 23 years i've had this diagnosis...it just could give you cancer if prolactin levels are high for too long....i was messed about with my meds about 5 years ago ..the psychiatrist at the time nearly killed me..i've just not long ago been reasigned the same doctor...it was an interim psychiatrist who sorted me out with this  drug in 2008..we can't pick and choose with our n.h.s doc's...and i cannot afford to go private...xx

I would highly suggest you get a complete hormonal check up by a doctor who is pro bio-identical hormones.
Check out
Hotze Health & Wellness Center
www.hotzehwc.com
20214 Braidwood Drive
Katy, TX 77450-2140
(281) 579-3600

Give them a call and see if there is a doctor in your area.

So many times we gals are given the wrong kinds of meds when we have other issues in the first place.
