Rich and Creamy Alfredo Sauce
Ingredients
1/4 cup salted butter
1 cup zero carb heavy whipping cream
1 clove garlic, crushed (1 net carb)
1 1/2 cups freshly grated Parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
1 teaspoon coarse cracked black pepper
Directions
1. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium low heat.
2. Sauté garlic for 1 minute
3. Wisk in cream and simmer for 5 minutes.
4. Add cheese and whisk quickly, making sure to melt the cheese completely.
5. Stir in pepper and parsley and serve.
TIP- Substitute this recipe for any recipe calling for Alfredo sauce. Many recipes call for Bertolli Alfredo sauce from a jar. Although this cuts down on prep time it increases carbs 3 net grams per ¼ cup. Using the above recipe will cut down total net carb count substantially.
