Why salt? What does that do for the taste?

I suppose you could do without.
I just modified the recipe that is on the Hersheys Baking Chocolate to remove the regular milk & sugar

Salt brings out the 'sugar; and chocolate flavors.
DO OR DO NOT. THERE IS NO TRY.

I made hot chocolate today using Silk Unsweetened Almond Milk (0 carbs) and Walden Farms chocolate syrup (0 carbs). Tasted just fine to me and considering it's 0 carbs and only 35 calories, you can't beat that. :)

The ONLY thing I remember not liking was a chocolate soda when I was little. However, I loved Dr. Pepper's Diet Cherry Chocolate soda when it was out for a short time, so I'm curious if I'd like a plain regular chocolate soda now. Other than that ... you're probably right.
