Whew!  Oh Susie - you deserve so much better.  Praise God in everything he allows you to go through as it makes you and all of us in our trials stronger soldiers for Him!  Love you and you will be in my prayers.  Sorry I just got to this post - it has been a while since I have had the time to have been on and am glad I did.  Peace to you my dear sister!

Love, Eloise

Went on our two week fishing trip to Kentucky and absolutely vegged out!  Came back with a lovely tan.  The crappie were quite turned on as KY had that snow and then additional cold snap.  So, I am figuring they are probably turning on right now - lol and bummer.  Although, we did get enough of them for a few meals.

We grow our own asparagus at our cabin site - I am given the job of going out and cutting a few sprigs for our breakfast omlette (sp) - Fresh is so tasty - it's crazy!  Doug, will have to give this recipe a try - looks good!

Are the Kentucky Wonders the same as Old Homestead?  I am going to grow the Crockett and Old Homestead this year in our new big fenced in garden.

Wow, the Florida Keys - I am very happy for you - I hear the fishing is amazing in the Keys.

Cilantro - good one.  I think that was on my hubby's list.  I do love my crocket beans, so probably going to plan about 12 plans and make dilly beans.

Nice hearing from you Umpa.  I know this is a redundant yearly conversation, but it has always been enjoyable to start planning for the new planting season.

What is the temp by you currently that you can be growing in the garden?  80?  We are at minus degrees at night and maybe zero during the day currently.  VERY cold.

Take care and will be talking with you,

General Questions / Gardening for 2015

Okay, let's start the conversation with, who is going to do a veggy garden this year?  Hopefully, this is the year that I can retire.  My hubby retired this past January and trying to get the house inside ready to sell.  Big job.

But, once I retire we are going to start a very big garden at our primitive cabin site.  Can't wait to get the tracker tilling a large plot.  So many ideas - can't wait.  We made out a draft list of veggies - need to purchase off web and be prepared.  Still have a few more months to go - probably end of May - last freeze day is around end of May I believe in Wisconsin.  I am getting very anxious.  Planting beets, kale, collard greens, cauliflower, our own pickles vertical gardening, peppers, tomatoes, beans so we can dill them in August and ken wants to plant potatoes, sweet potatoes and so much more.

What are your plans guys....?  Let's keep this post alive!

Product Reviews / Re: zumba

I took normal zumba a 1.5 years ago.  had to quit cause the instructors bailed out in our area and too far to go to other towns.  the normal zumba was fun and yes, you go at your own pace.  there were some instructors that did the be bop  tons of jumping around and wayyyyyyy tooooooooo fast.  I didn't appreciate that too much.  just like keeping it simple.  I loved the one hour and lots of sweating and felt so good when I got home to take my shower.  only did it once a week and found much improvement in my health.

I can't wait for this new beginning...  I am really tired of working long daily hours and so much, too much expected of one person.  We are down to a skeleton crew and everyone is wearing two or three hats.  Your body doesn't have time to get to a really good relaxed state of being over the weekend, if you know what I mean.  Even with exercise and eating right.....Then, so many people bring in junk food - like today it's poonchkies - I don't know how to spell it.  but its the donuts filled with fillings and Polish heritage.  I didn't have one.  I am getting very very serious about no more sugar in my diet.  I went off of it for a while and gained weight.  So this is a leaf turning moment.
