General Discussion / Re: Chicken Pot Pie
« on: April 02, 2012, 09:20:32 PM »
Sorry..........
Since it came from FTS Facebook page, just assumed  ::) everyone had already seen it.

Here it is.....

Chicken Pot Pie

Cut up one cooked chicken breast. (I made extras of grilled chicken the night before so I’d have one to cut up. It has great flavor this way, much better than boiled.)
•   Add to the chicken one can of green beans, one can of low sodium cream of chicken soup (20 grams of carbs in the whole can – maybe use half a can and add sour cream or some heavy cream for more liquid), and some sea salt, pepper and garlic to taste.
•   Put chicken and green bean mixture in the bottom of an 8 x 8 in glass baking pan.
•   Put 3 eggs in a bowl and beat them.
•   Add to the eggs: 1 cup of almond meal, ½ tsp of cream of tartar, ½ tsp of baking powder, and ¼ cup of heavy cream.
•   Pour the eggs/almond meal mixture over the top of the chicken/green bean mixture.
•   Bake at 425 for about 30 minutes (until the crust is brown to your liking

WOW it is amazing how you notice peoply buying or eating all those carbs.  Even me, I notice it more now than ever and I am a s l o w looser but I know that the no carbs and no sugar (I call it no white stuff) is so much better for me.  As far as Dr Oz goes, he has been preaching no white stuff for a long time, but he also says grains are good and I think they just make you hungrey for all the white flower stuff like pasta and sweets.  I really think Doug has the right answers!  I just wish the weight would fall off faster.

You are in my prayers.  Don't worry about what you ate, just live in the moment and you will be back on track before you know it.  Sending you hugs!!!

Don't dispair   ;)  Stick with it and it gets better.  I still have trouble getting the scales to move and I am 62 but the way I feel is soooooo much better than the way I felt before FTS.  This is a great place to be and everyone here is helpful ;D

You can do this, I'm no pro at FTS but I have faith in you,  everyone on the forum is an inspriation to me and you are too.  Maybe you could make the OMM and kind of suck on it until it is soft enough for you to chew/swallow.  We are all with you  with this hurdle and we will all get over it together.
