General Discussion / FIRST WEEK BACK....
« on: March 12, 2013, 02:14:45 PM »
Hi ya all, last week was my first week back on FTS. I am happy  ;D to report I had a 10 pound lost when I weighed in on Saturday. yeah.
I been feeling better, so been busy cleaning my house as not much had gotten done we had so much sickness in January and Feb. But maybe that is a good thing maybe all that sickness is what it took to make me realize I have got to change and NOW!
I want to have hours just to soak up all the good stuff on this forum and recipes, etc, as soon as I can find the time.
I got a TON of weight to loose, for sure, but I can already feel a difference in my stomach. This sure works when you are faithful to it.
I tryed a roast with jicama cut up in chunks and brussel sprouts in crock pot on Sunday, the jicama was still too firm, but it ate.  I have never been much of a cook but I am trying.  Love Doug's cauliflower mash recipe , it is so good.
Tonight doing spag. squash for supper.
I been making small pizza,  taking one of those low carb Joseph's pita and putting one T of pizza sauce on it with shredded cheese, baking in oven for  10 min, oh what a great taste that is for lunch.
So I pray you are all doing well. Like Doug says I CAN  I KNOW I CAN I CAN I CAN I CAN !

I  too, just started back on FTS 5 days ago, so far yeah doing good, and this forum is the best ever for sure to help us. Being prepared is everything for sure, Doug, I loved what you said there helped me too. thanks.
Keeping celery cut up, boiled eggs, and cheese and turkey lunch meat in my frig has really helped me this week.

Hello Cindie, My heart goes out to  you, prayers are with you, I have never lost a child, but many other loved ones, parents, brother in laws, and other relatives, life truly is never the same when loved ones pass on, with each one goes a piece of our heart, but yes we must keep on keeping on, they'd want us to, and also for those that need us so much.
I too have health issues and very many pounds to loose. I will look forward to seeing your posts. We can do this we all can do this and regain our life and health. ;D
I had lost some about a year ago than got off the FTS, just came back today is day 5 and I am doing well on it.
Also wanted to say that any kind of treats will mess up any diet, even sugar free ones. They should be very rare not a daily thing.  One thing that helps when ya need something is sugar free jello with some redi whip.  The last time I was on this I got to eating too many of those Russell Stoffer sugar free candy, and I was never even a candy eater normally, but for some reason I got to enjoying them way too much. haha
For sure it is the truth, once we get that sugar out of system, eat what FTS says, you really do not crave nothing, sometimes you do not even get hungry, it really works.
Praying for joy and success to you.

Toni I remember that from the last time I was on FTS that it seemed cheese did not bother me or my breathing was better than.
Jan, I too grew up Baptist, my dad was a Baptist minister, and yep remember all them dinner on the grounds hahaha always a reason to eat haha.
I need to update my ticker and start it all over again.
Jan I am so proud of you as you have went over 100 now right...wow, your pastor needed to know that;)
I will study those scriptures, thanks much.

Hello, well so far so good today! I had to go back to doctor on Friday asthma got so bad, bronchials so bad, Doctor is sending me to an allergy asthma specialist end of this month and I will be having allergy tests. I probably should of went many years ago, as have had those type of problems a lot and getting worse now with age. Been seeing how inflammation can hurt every part of our bodies and foods we eat cause much of that, so hopefully eating different is going to help that. Cheese is one of my favorite foods, but now when I eat it I began to wheeze worse, sure will hate to have to give up cheese. Anyway keep me in prayer as I try to win this battle.;)

I would love to be back out singing gospel Umpa, but I been pretty housebound and sick for months, had bronchitis so badly sounded like a bull frog since Christmas, just now getting some better. Also still have to use wheel chair or scooter when I go anywhere, so life is pretty dull right now.
