General Discussion / checking it out
« on: August 31, 2011, 12:41:18 PM »
I think I am finally getting the hang of how this forum works! I had never been  on a forum before so if I do anything wrong please tell me. ;)
One thing I know I got to get off here and get some houseword done, haha as all I have done since I found this is 'study' it out for motivation and ideals.  I have been checking out all the websites and products you all talk about.  I go through your post and the recipes and write down types of foods you all mention that I did not know about than find out what they are and where I can get them. The dixie diner really has the stuff, been looking at that today. I had no clue what edamame was or beanit butter when Doug mentioned it, now I know and plan to get some.
Just totally awesome...thanks so much ya all for making this available.  Now to try to get some cleaning done;)))))

I am so happy to report that I weighed yesterday and I have lost 6 pounds my first week on FTS!
I stayed on the FTS eating program all weekend too, my family was proud of me and so was I as weekends are always the hardest.
I feel so encouraged!!!!  I have so far to go, but for the first tiime in years, I have hope that I can make it.

Day 6 and I have made it yeah.
My hubby got us a new car today, when he got home  we took a drive in the country and we took our granddaughter fishing at a nearby lake... by the time we left everyone was starving, he got him and my granddaughter ice creams, but I said NO, than we called Bob Evans and ordered take out, I got the grilled Chicken, squash and salad.  By the time we got home and ready to eat, I was feeling badly as so hungry, but once I had my low carb meal I feel great now. So thankful I stayed on course! another victory!
Need to find some type of snack to keep in my purse for emergencies when we have to be gone so long.
I have been looking at all the recipes, wow, I am amazed how much we CAN have in variety. Never enjoy cooking much, but now looking forward to learning to cook some of these recipes. :)

Product Reviews / sassafras
« on: August 25, 2011, 06:08:42 PM »
I wanted to share this with you all, if you like the 'root beer' type taste, our Kroger has Pappy's Sassafras tea, it is liquid in a bottle on the top shelf over the teas at our store.  www.sassafrastea.com
I just add two Tbsp. of it to ice water, hot water or to a glass of club soda and I really enjoy it, no calories, no carbs.
You can use sweetner if you wish but I enjoy it without it.

General Discussion / HELLO, I AM NEW.
« on: August 25, 2011, 11:27:07 AM »

Hello everyone. I am new, this is day 4 for me. I am loving this site and love the book and checking out all the recipes. I feel I have 'hope' to finally get my life back.  I have a long long way to go much like Sherripie, what an encouragement her testimony is to me.  A big thanks to Doug and Umpa, was so very surprised to receive emails from both of them welcoming and encouraging me! :) I praise the Lord I found this website and the Fat to Skinny book, it has opened up a new way of hope for me. Love watching all the things Doug and Umpa have on youtube too, and love their Yorkies as I too have a Yorkie and they just steal your heart ;)
I can already feel the fat melting, this seems to really work and I am not having cravings.
I need your prayers and help on this journey and pray I too will become a blessings to others.
This is truly awesome that Doug offers such a wonderful website "free" for us.
