Just remember that the goal isn't to eat as little as possible.  The goal is to eat low carb foods that satisfy your hunger and give you enough variety that you don't have cravings while keeping your daily net carbs under 20.

You are the only one who can do it, Rosie.  God's will takes man's efforts.  Decide!  We want it for you but you have to want it for yourself more than you want that piece of bread.  Give Umpa the two weeks.  It's really a gift to yourself and you're worth it.

We cooked a Christmas turkey in a Weber kettle when it was minus 10 degrees outside.  The trick was not taking the cover off and positioning the lid so we could use a flashlight to see the thermometer to tell when it was done.  We were visiting family in Illinois and wanted the turkey our way.

Be careful what you wish for.  It slows waaay down when you're sick or injured.  Just sayin'

Welcome Mrs T and I hope Mr T is joining you on this journey.

I have a couple of observations for you.  First, you described a family history of DIETS.  FTS is a way of life.  We use this way of eating to lose weight and get healthier and then we continue with this lifestyle because it allows us to stay healthy and maintain our weights at a healthy level.  Second, two months into married life, you and your husband have an opportunity to make this healthy choice together and reinforce the decision by the way you make choices and see success.  There are plateaus in every weight loss journey but you and Mr T will be in the best possible place to handle what comes your way.  You will also be able to support one another when the family takes aim at your choices.  I suspect their ups and downs in their own weight loss attempts will make the skeptical of your successes.  You can have each other's backs

Congratulations to both of you!

6.5 hours is a good night!  It was hard for me to give up the "productive time" and sleep more but I know I feel better and look much more relaxed.  Congrats on taking the information and making it work for you.

Good point, Morgan.  Are we the only ones who recognize that he's all about the "product of the day" and that makes it impossible to tell if he has a real opinion about anything?
