« on: February 10, 2014, 02:42:56 AM »
Hi Doug,

Thinking about placing a wholesale order for Zero.  If I do, how would you ship it - by courier or US Mail?

Thanks!

Meal Plans / I'm Starting Again
« on: January 05, 2013, 08:40:25 AM »
I've tried FTS before and did not stay on it for long. Here I am, many, many months later, basically the same weight I was before. I'm ready to do something about it now. Every year I make a resolution to lose weight. I'm not going to do that this time. What I really want to do is gain health. And if weight loss results in getting healthier, then I'll be pleased.

I'm going out to do a grocery hall in just a bit, so I have some healthy foods to eat. Right now, I'm eating an egg, fried in butter and topped with a little cheese to hold me over until my errands are done.  I'll post my menu for the day when I get back.  I'm so excited to be back!!

Sides and Snacks / Spicy Zoodles
« on: August 23, 2012, 05:16:51 PM »
I roasted a chicken for dinner last night and used the leftover pan juices to saute some zucchini noodles. It was SO good, so simple and fresh! I think I've found my new favorite thing. I ate it too quick to take a pic. Next time I make it I'll get one to post.

Spicy Zoodles
2 zucchini, cut or spiraled into noodles
1 minced clove garlic
Fresh cracked pepper to taste
Crushed red pepper to taste
Thyme to taste
About 4 Tbsp juices from roasted chicken or chicken stock

Throw everything in a pan and Saute for 2-3 minutes until zoodles are slightly tender.

Yum!

General Discussion / What to bring for a working lunch?
« on: July 01, 2012, 06:50:22 PM »
So this week I have a training scheduled where my work is going to supply lunch (sugary tuna fish salad with salad greens and crackers). I don't want to eat what is being served. We are to work through lunch, and I am told by others who have gone to the same training that I'll barely have time to eat anything because the trainers are moving through everything so fast. I'm wondering what I should bring that will be portable without a ton of containers and easy to eat. What would you bring?

Lean On My Shoulder / Confession
« on: July 01, 2012, 07:47:20 AM »
I've not been doing very well at sticking to FTS. I did great for several days, then caved in during my oldest son's b-day party. I won't go into the details of all the junk I ate. Ever since then, I've been binging so badly. Craving sugar like a drug addict. I had planned to get back to FTS today, but already this morning I've had 6 twizzler's. It's like I just can't stop, it's almost automatic that I reach for something horrible, without much thought until the eating is done.

I'm so mad at myself. How come I can't follow through when it comes to eating right? I know I'm slowly killing myself. I have diabetes, yet I eat without a care. It's so bad that I wonder when I go to sleep at night if I will wake up in the morning. And it makes me sad and depressed because I don't want to leave my kids. They don't deserve having to grow up without me.  But the pull of sugar and junk is so strong that I almost feel powerless.

I don't want to give up. I know that I will start again. Right this minute. But I do not know how to stop this behavior. Can anyone give me some tips on how to stop?

Meal Plans / Itsoversugar's First Menu

Breaky -   3 hard boiled eggs with 4 oz bulk sausage

Lunch- ground beef pattie topped with 1 oz cheddar, 2 slices bacon, 1 serving packet of buffalo sauce, all wrapped in lettuce leaves

Snack -   cream cheese clouds (lindasue recipe)

Dinner -    5 oz chicken tenderloin with broccoli and cheese.

It was a good day for me. I didnt have any cravings at all up until after dinner, which is usually a hard time for me to resist junk, but I made it through.

I ran everything through my calorie counter app through lunch and had consumed less than 7 net carbs. Haven't entered dinner yet. I may come back later and try to update my carb counts if I can.

General Discussion / Dusting off my FTS book
« on: May 29, 2012, 02:57:33 PM »
Hi everyone. I bought a copy of FTS months ago, skimmed through it and put it on my bookshelf. Its been there ever since, gathering dust while I gather more fat. I got a glimpse of myself in a mirror at a friends house the other day and almost did not recognize myself. I decided then that it is time to do something about all this weight. I am 5'3" and currently bouncing between 262 and 266. I also have type 2 diabetes.

So I've been hanging around the forum reading so many of the awesome success stories. I wanna be one too! I will be getting my book down off the shelf and thoroughly reading it.  I'm not new to low carb. In fact, last year about this time, I began my own plan, no counting, just eating low carb foods and avoiding the white, starchy stuff, but I didnt stick with it. That's what I want now. To stick with it and make this a lifestyle.

I'm kinda scared but excited to start again. But I have to do this for my health. Tomorrow is day 1.
