Interesting about the cigarette packs. That would certainly deter me.  I lived in Brisbane when I was a teen. I know they weren't like that then.  You are correct about people having choices.  Unfortunately I don't think people are given the info to make choices. That's what is so great about this book.  As a nurse I work with lots of diabetics and most of them do not understand what they should be eating.  this book makes it simple.

Looks like the world is taking small steps to catch up on this idea that sugar is contributing to obesity!

Welcome to the Forum!  You will love it here!  I totally understand a hubby who eats everything.  ha ha  As I type this, mine is lying on the couch, watching the Braves, and eating a BIG bowl of popcorn.... :-X   The house smells like a movie theater right now!   :D  Even so, I have found that my tastes have just changed.  When I crave something, it's usually strawberries & cream or an icy peanut butter/chocolate shake made with almond milk.  Be sure to check out the recipe exchange.  There's lots of yummy things there!  ;D

Thanks Maddysmom! I will def check out the recipes!

Welcome to the forum, edswife.  You have a lot on your plate.  If your husband eats anything and everything, feed him the FTS way.  He'll like that, too.

Clean out the pantry and plan ahead, plan ahead and plan ahead.  Can you send a whiff of the baby my way?  New baby smells are the best, second only to sheets that have been dried in the sun.

Thanks Andrea - and you're right I never knew it until this little angel came into my life, but baby smells are the best!

Hello edswife , besides having a newborn,  I am a RN and take online classes as well ! You will find this lifestyle so easy for our busy schedule with just alittle planning and preparing! I wish you the best. Browse around under the forums you will find a ton of information that's useful! Best wishes Stephanie

Thanks Stephanie - always nice to meet another nurse.  Good to know I'm not alone in trying to juggle such a demanding job and so many other ventures.

Hello all . . . 8 weeks postpartum and looking forward to losing some of this baby weight and then some.  Any tips or advice will be greatly appreciated as I have an 8 week old to look after, while working as an RN, and taking classes online.  (Plus living with a hubby who loves to eat everything) haha ;D
