sounds like me and yes as Doug said we are addicts , no different then any other addict . If I have a bite or two of crap food in no time it is like I can not get enough even though it is making me very sick with all the symptoms I get have nothing at the house and if you cant do that if you have a husband like I do you have to be strong one day at a time one hour at a time

Well it has been awhile ,we have moved and I think I have finely got my thyroid meds close to right . I have ran across some very stupid doctors in the last year after being diagnosed with Hashimotos . Being left on meds that were much to low a dose caused weight gain ,one doctor would not even prescribe thyroid meds because I was eating as he said "too low carb and was causing damage to my thyroid "
I as you know did not lose much on FTS because of my thyroid condition that was misdiagnosed for I know now 10 years . But FTS was the only way I ever did lose some weight even though I was fighting against my thyroid . At least I know now that I will always have trouble losing and it is out of my control . But the way I feel eating FTS is much ,much better then when I eat all the processed carbs so many things go away when eating FTS and come back when not eating this way
For all new people here I have done away with
Headaches
Sinus issues
Acid re flux
constipation
Hemorrhoids
joint pain and swelling
bloating
so for those reasons alone I will always eat FTS if  I lose or not of course I hope to know that I am taking my medication into my own hands .
As far as Tyler (type 1 Diabetic )  goes he is 18 close to 19 and he has fell into the fast food again and he is in deep he has gained a few pounds and is having high and low blood sugars not controlled as it was on FTS . He is a adult and will have to learn for his self when his A1C is high and he has a chance of losing his driving privileges . I do not buy any bad food he has to if he wants it and nothing is in our house . My husband has lost weight and is eating FTS 90% of the rime .

Thanks everyone , I am trying my best to find one but he is the only one that will give natural thyroid meds here in Alabama and he seems to know it ! I was going to go to one in TN bu my insurance will only pay for another state if itis a emergency or a referral
.
I have researched so much That I could probably self medicate and have my own labs done . Which maybe what I do . Thanks so much for listening and I told Tyler y'all were proud of him he said thanks !!!!!

Thanks yes his insulin has  gone down ! I am still eating low carb but have given up trying to lose weight I was told by my Ass of a doctor that is no longer my doctor that sometimes so much damage has been done to the metabolic system it can't be undone . I have gained what I just lost back . Just tired of trying ,buti do feel better eating this way .  That is so reassuring isn't it ?

My thyroid numbers are now lower then they were before I started thyroid meds last year ask him why and he says he doesn't know ! I ask him can I wean off my thyroid meds and he said he doesn't know only 1 way to find out !! What a AH . Anyway I am pretty much done unless I can find thyroid meds myself I am going to just get use to being obese from what he just told me yesterday . I am glad everyone is doing well

Tyler is pretty much where he needs to be ,my question is for the FTS'ers that are at goal or close to it what is a day of food for you ?
Tyler eats very little and I have input it in fatsecret and it is never over 1000  . Is that ok ? Don't want him doing something that may come back to bother him . I know that sometime I do not eat but 2 meals a day his typical day is

Grilled 8 count nugget on his salad around 8-9 am
Then he will not eat gain until 3-4 PM
He will have a bunless hamburger with bacon and cheese ,salad  and 20 carb apple or cantalope then nothing else until around 8
If his sugar is low which is very rare he will have to eat a carb but most times it is some 100 calorie nuts and  r cheese chips  .
Curious to see you meals since you are at goal or have lost most of your weight thanks

oh and also if you don't eat until 10 AM your metabolism will not start working and you need 3 meals
