In addition I have lost in inches, down another pant size to a 42 from 46

Click Here To Share Your Success Story / End of week 4 ( and cheated )
« on: November 02, 2010, 11:49:33 AM »
The end of week 4 saw a reduction in weight lost, due to some cheating and just being lazy, and by lazy I mean not wanting to cook the meals I should have, but going out to eat and making the wrong choices, lets see there was the pizza one night, homefries at Bob Evens another night and the sweat potatoes at the diner the other night, after all the slips this week I came away with a 1 pound loss for the week, I'm sure it could have been another 3 or 4 lb loss week if I had stayed on track, well live and learn, I'll keep my nose to grindstone this week and report in next Tuesday, good luck to all.

I have become a crazed shopper and read every label, last week we wanted Hotdogs and I found no sugar HD's and they tasted no different than the one's that had sugar, my question is why add the sugar if it's not needed in the first place?

Well here we are at the end of week 3, and things are looking good, I have dropped another 3lbs this week for a total of 13.5lbs.
I'm feeling good and may be able to start walking or some light exercising in the upcoming weeks, I have been a couch potato for the last year and a half because of a layoff, so I added another 35 to 40 lbs to an already large frame, I'm back to work as of May and dropping lbs faster than I could have imagined, frame of mind can do wonders.

General Discussion / Re: I think I drink to much coffee
« on: October 23, 2010, 11:04:00 AM »
I'm drinking 60 oz a day on average, 3 20 oz mostly decaf, I don't use any sweeteners but I do use cream, I have been doing this for many years, being on the road all day I need something to sip on, if I didn't have the coffee I think it would be something  much worse in its place, I'm still at Dunkin Dounuts every day, but just for the coffee.
Ive had to adjust my daily intake of edible carbs to count for my coffee lust, which is consuming 7.5 of my daily intake.

General Discussion / Re: Two week mark today

Thanks to all for all the kind words of encouragement, after two weeks I'm starting to feel the effects of this eating style kick in, I have more energy, and don't feel as I have to eat as much as I have in the past, my meals are getting smaller and I'm not going back for that second plate, amazing what two weeks can do.

General Discussion / Two week mark today
« on: October 19, 2010, 09:06:59 PM »
Two weeks in as of today, with a total loss of 10.5 lbs, week one seemed to be dramatic compared to week two, with 7.5 lbs lost in week one and 3 lbs lost in week two, but I'm still tweaking all of the factors like total carbs and portions, still happy with results so far, wish me luck.

Maybe we can get Doug to show us how to make our own, and possibly can it, very few options at my stores also, found a few online, but the shipping is as much as the product.

Thanks Umpa, that was easy, I never thought about sugar free maple syrup to replace the brown sugar, this is one of Jamie's Fav's minus the real meat that is.

Well the end of week 1 is here and I dropped 7.5lbs, not bad for starting out and not managing portions very well, I will be working on that in week 2, still using the giant dinner plates, I think I will go with smaller plates, I just can't see myself weighing everything out at every meal.

Jamie is back on track and has lost 24lbs, she's the one to get me off my butt, first week is going well, I was happy to see my local store had Walden products, Jamie is trying to convince me that tofu is really a food product, we will see.
Wish us luck, as its myself and wifey Jodi giving it a go.
