Happy Birthday Big Joe!  My nephew has his 18th birthday today as well...his favorite foods, chicken alfredo...mac and cheese...he loves to go to Olive Garden.  He is a big fan of carbs.  I have been eating apple dapple cake a neighbor brought by....I have maintained, lots of coffee.

It takes action to make things come into fruition.  I lost over 50 pounds it only took 5 months and I started gang bangin drivethrus and markets unhooking drug cartels and the like undercover for the FBI.  It only took 2 and a half months to gain back all of that weight.  I do believe that I am at a point in my life where I can work out and lose it once and for all.   I am sick and tired of yo yo dieting.  It is nice to know that I am not the only one.

I was 320 at my highest.  I was told to get lap band but I hate going under the knife.  I have lost 25 pounds but am struggling to maintain due to a death in the family.  FTS really works and improves your health and longevity.  I am so glad that you dusted off that book! :)

General Discussion / Food Addiction

I was thinking back a few days ago about foods I have been addicted to...they certainly were not broccoli ...I was fond of eating a lot of raw carrots.  I started from carrots to whole packs of bologna.  At the time I was a healthy weight.  I took it for granted.  I started drinking whole gallons of milk in a day,,,,to half gallons of chocolate milk to whole boxes of chocolate ice milk.  It was all that I really wanted to eat.  It did not take long for me to pack on the pounds.  I became a food addict.  I would become obsessed with cookies or brownies and not pay heed to my portion sizes.  Every food would be high in carbs or sugar...mostly sugar.  Sugar addiction is like heroin addiction.  It is like Doug says....sugar and carbs make you large....meat and greans will make you lean.

Finally got in the garden for the stringless greenbeans.  I love to cook them whole in olive oil in a cast iron skillet.  Lots of fiber.

I am doing well...blessed with cucumbers and peppers from the garden.  The tomatoes are also starting to take off.  I am especially fond of Doug's recipe to take cucumbers slice them in half and fill them with chicken or tuna salad.  The garden is too wet to pick green beans with all the wonderful rain recently.  I hope all is well with you and your hubby and that you catch some nice fish together.

This is so simple for brunch....all you need is

12 slices Canadian bacon
1/4 cup red bell pepper, diced
2 tablespoons diced zucchini
2 eggs
1 teaspoon of heavy cream
1/4 cup shredded Cheddar cheese

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.  Line 12 mini-muffin cups with a slice of Canadian bacon.
Evenly divide bell pepper and zucchini between muffin cups.  In a small bowl, combine eggs and cream.
Evenly divide mixture between muffin cups.  Bake for 15 minutes or until eggs have set.  Sprinkle
tops with cheese and bake 2 more minutes, or until cheese is melted.  Enjoy!

Make that Ticker and watch the weight go down.  You can do this.  It is so much nicer to lose weight than it is to gain weight.

Thank you so much, yaw are so sweet :)  Next week I am going to incorporate exercise so that I can get a jump on my New Year's resolution to be more active.  There are so many great sugar alternatives out there especially with the bakery book...you really do not have to feel deprived.  I intend to celebrate Christmas slimmer and happier.

I got on the scale and was delighted to see that I have lost 10 pounds the week of Thanksgiving.  I could have easily gained 10 pounds if it were'nt for FTS.  This is what I ate on Friday:  I had two deviled eggs...2 carbs.  I had 2 slices of ham and a slice of cheese wrapped around a dill pickle slice and some pig skins and a serving of a jello ring I found in the deli at Food Lion...1 carb. I ate 2 deviled eggs...2 carbs. I had smoked sausage and peppers...2 carbs.  I also had 4 cubes of colby-monterey jack cheese...0 carbs.  To drink I had 2 glasses of diet pepsi and plenty of water.
This is what I ate on Saturday:  I ate a one minute muffin that I sliced in half and put a piece of turkey sausage in...2 carbs.  I ate 2 slices of ham and a slice of cheese wrapped around a dill pickle slice...1carb.  I ate chicken salad that I made with sugar free pickle relish on pig skins...1 carb.  I ate 6 Reeses sugar free peanut butter cups...1 carb.  I ate 1/2 cup of mozzerella melted on turkey pepperoni in the microwave for 1 min...2 carbs.  I had two teaspoons of pinto beans and a teaspoon of potato soup.  I drank two glasses of diet pepsi and plenty of water.

Detox was not diffficult for me and I have ate alot of great food during the week.  I hope that this is a help to those who are on the fence deciding if they want to do FTS or not....It can change your life...I lost 10 pounds my first week.
