Title: Stalled
Post by: Darkhorse on February 14, 2015, 03:58:49 PM
I started FTS on 9/1/15 and have lost 60 pounds.  :)  However, I seem to have stalled here at 240 for a few weeks now.  I am not discouraged or disillusioned, just a bit curious. Has anyone had a similar experience?

Welcome to the FTS family, Darkhorse!!! :) :) :) :) :) :)

Sometimes the smallest of changes in what we eat can make a big difference.

Read the label of EVERYTHING you eat.
Many foods have more carbs than we would suspect (like condiments).

Be sure to count every carb and stay under 20 net carbs a day.

Eat ONLY when you are truly hungry.
If we eat when we're not hungry, stalls or gains can be expected.

Write down everything you eat and when you eat it.
We learn a lot about how our bodies respond to different foods and amounts this way.

Darkhorse, I have stalled many times. Usually when I'm stressed or sick. But sometimes I stall out when sugar sneaks itself into my food. I have a certain lunchmeat that I was eating that said 0 carbs, but whenever I eat it, I stall out. So you know...there's something in it that isn't low carb.

Anyway, read the messages that everyone suggested you read, there are loads of good info in there. Then you could try what I always do when I stall. I cut out everything that is new or untried. Pull back to my basic staples, then each day add in a new item. If you stall out when adding that new item, you know it's the culprit. Good luck. :)
