Title: ~Fatigued~
Post by: o0OSusieO0o on April 08, 2013, 08:06:11 PM
I'm really tired every day. Could it be my menopause hormone fluctuation? I've been sleeping pretty good at night, but sometimes dropping like fly in the middle of the day and snoozing away. I made a doctor appointment for the 24th.

Around 3 in  the afternoon I get tired too. Thats when I have a snack. I dont get hunger pains so I forget to eat. When I am hot flashing I get wicked tired too.  ;) hormone fluctuations are really tricky but manageable  ;)

What kind of snack do you have? I need to figure out how to keep going.
Sometimes a short nap and I am good to go, but lately I don't wake up until hours later. So I try not to nap now.

Honestly either a Michelob Ultra and peanuts in the shell or  italian coldcuts and cheese. Just enough to hold me over till dinner.  ;)

hmmm, sounds like great snacks. I'm  grabbing string cheese & almonds. The beer won't make me tired? I'm trying to think how a beer helps. I love peanuts in the shell!

The beer has carbs. It also has hops which helps my hotflashes.Hops tea works too but it is bitter. I am not telling you to start drinking in the middle of the day!  I live in florida where its very hot and its not a everyday thing just my latest.  ;) Alcohol can slow weight loss (http://www.fattoskinny.com/).

I should not drink everyday anyways. Alcoholism runs in my family. My older brother finally quit a week ago and is in AA.

That's a good idea, Susie!
Most of us being "carbahlics" can easily transfer addictions to something else even worse!

I will keep your older brother in my prayers for his continued sobriety.

Thank you so much for your prayers Tony. He turned 55 last Saturday. It was so nice video chatting with him when sober and drinking an electrolyte beverage.

I am happy. I have 2 younger brothers who are alcoholics so I'm hoping he will influence them.

My brother lives in Alabama and is coming out here in California to visit in middle of May.
I'm switching to tea for couple days and will see if that helps. Drinking Yerba Mate, Green & White teas.

Oolong and green tea should both help. I don't understand why your energy is so low :)

I will have to try Oolong tea. I do love how I feel with my Yerba Mate tea. The best way to buy it is loose leaf. I need to budget for that.
I buy it from here:
http://guayaki.com/ (http://guayaki.com/)

Here a video about it:
Sara Snow on Guayaki Yerba Mate (http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=1zu9cXau61A#)

Here is a How-To video I love to watch:
Prepare Yerba Mate in a COFFEE MAKER (http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=4YCNt577xRc#)

I am brewing my last of of Yerba Mate San Mateo in my coffee maker now.

I saw new ways to make tea on their website, but I want the full steeping benefits of my tea. I even use my Yerba Mate tea bags twice.
