Newbie-Mary Ellen
« on: March 25, 2014, 08:48:25 PM »
Hi everyone. I'm Mary Ellen and I decided several weeks ago that I needed to change my life. I am pretty disgusted with myself, I've never in my life have been this heavy, 241 at the present moment. I want to feel better physically, mentally and emotionally and getting healthy and loosing the weight will do this for me.

My daughter's mother-in-law purchased FTS and she looks wonderful and better yet feels fantastic. I am hypoglycemic and I know it's only a matter of time before it gets worse.

I'm looking forward to changing my life and feeling better physically and mentally.

Welcome to the FTS family, Mary Ellen!!! :) :) :) :) :) :)

Before I started living the FTS lifestyle, I had a severe Metabolic Syndrome
(with type II diabetes) and had about 80 pounds to lose.

I was taking FIVE different prescriptions to "manage" the symptoms of my
life-long carb abuse.

After about 6 months living FTS, my doctor had weaned me off ALL the drugs
and declared that I was no longer type II diabetic!! ;D ;D ;D

I'm 62 years old and feel better now than I have in about 30 years!

FTS will do wonders to restore your health.
You just need to remain committed to it, and it WILL work!

For most, the first couple of weeks going thru "sugar detox" are the toughest.
Cravings for carbs (and false hunger) are usually very high during this time.
However, you may be one of the lucky ones and barely notice it.

Just remember, we're a family and will be here to help you reach your health goals.
So if you ever have any questions, concerns, comments, or just want to vent,
we'll be  right here!... Just let us know what you need. :)

Thanks and sorry I was gone so long.  Still hanging tough, which isn't too hard with this plan.   ;D.  It's been three weeks and I have to confess I was hoping for a more substantial weight loss.  I lost 7 lbs which is fantastic really...

I was thinking of adjusting my eating schedules because I noticed when I eat a lighter dinner with small snack (about 8) and s larger lunch I seem to show a weight loss on the scale.  Thoughts?

A nice steady loss. I lost 1/2 lb a week, so you are doing great!

Hi, Mary Ellen! :)

7 pounds in 3 weeks is good progress! :) :) :)
During my FTS weight loss journey, there were times when 7 pounds in 3 months was VERY good.
No two of us are alike. Some will lose quickly. And others (like me), slowly.

So be patient... Your body is healing from years of overeating carbs.
During that healing, you are getting healthier. The weight loss is a side benefit.

Your eating "schedule" should be dependent on true hunger and NOT the time.
If you find that eating less closer to bedtime helps you, as long as your not going to bed hungry, go for it! ;)
