Water and Mio liquid water enhancers
« on: July 27, 2011, 04:45:08 PM »
We started drinking more water at restaurants (cause we are cheap LOL) and used the crystal lite "on the go" packs.  Some of the mixes didn't mix well in glasses of water with ice or the server would add water when we weren't looking.  If you've seen the commercials for the flavored drink mixes in a small bottle "Mio" liquid water enhancer...they are wonderful.  We like all the flavors except sweet tea or peach tea.  Our favs are Mango Peach, Fruit Punch, Berry Pomegranate and Strawberry Watermelon.  They are made by Kraft Foods, buy them just about anywhere.  They're supposed to have 24 servings in each bottle BUT again large glasses of water take more.  With the cost of drinks eating out one meal pays for the bottle.  These have zero across the board, no calories, no fat, no carbs, no sugars, no protein.

Walmart sells it. I tried it once and it was good, but I just wasn't sure about the truthfulness of all those 0's.  I like plain water, but my husband adds a splenda or sweet n low packet to his water and it gives it enough of a flavor that he's satisfied with it.

Owensmath, I have often thought the same thing.  To be safe I only use it twice a day.  Mostly if we go out because water away from home sometimes tastes just a little different.  I can't understand how it is so good.  Just enjoy the convenience, easier than crystal lite and no calories.

I loved the flavor I bought. I think it was like a mango peach flavor. My son loves it and uses it all the time.

Recently my fav has been the strawberry watermelon.  Is more strawberry than watermelon.  Have considered using in the "shake" versus the SF Hersey's syrup.

OMG!!  Suslyn got me started on these drink enhancers.  I use them all the time, even at home!  I just don't drink enough water and I know drinks with carbonated water (soda) aren't that good for you.  I like the Strawberry Watermelon too.  Just don't do like I did and accidently "squirt" it across the table at a restaurant.  Hold it close or into the water before squeezing.  What a mess! (It was funny though)

I suspect that they use liquid splenda to make these.... might be why they can claim the 0's.... not sure though   I really like them to ;)

Last Saturday, my sons and grand kids came over to our house for a BBQ.

My wife made a Costco run and bought a case of 0 and 0.5 carb bottled drinks called Vita-Rain (Kirkland brand).
These drinks are high in C and other vitamins.
They come in four assorted flavors - 24 bottles to a case.

These drinks are sooooooo tasty and refreshing.
Next time you're at Costco, get a case. ;)
What you do today is what matters!
